Specific research topics included calcium-activated currents, the function of ryanodine receptor calcium release (in heart and neurons), and the role of mitochondria in controlling intracellular calcium. Currently, Dr. Kenyon is the PI and Director of the NV INBRE project to develop biomedical research in Nevada and Project Coordinator of the regional iIDeA-CTR project, the Clinical and Translational Research Infrastructure Network developing clinical and translational research across the Western Region IDeA states.
